Deep Space Habitats
An Agricultural station, with a large conical light funnel concentrating light onto the rotating walls of the drrum. Here food crops age grown for consumption in neighboring residential habitats. These agristations are generally arranged in pairs or multiples of two to avoid gyroscopic effects when the station turns to track the local star; a ring configuration is quite frequently used, as shown below.

The Space Elevator
The Tannga Bintang Space Elevator to Sulawesi, on its first day of operation in 2112. This construct was mostly built using carbon nanofibre technology.
An Interplanetary Age Spaceship
Typical of the ships which plied the freehauler routes in the Interplanetary age, the Almucantar could carry a wide range of loads attached to the skeletal midsection. Similar designs were constructed in the various colony systems until the Second federation period and beyond.

A starship
The Catch-Me-Who-Can was a typical pion-catalysed fusion drive interstellar ship, connecting the colonies of the First Federation period. Note the heavy reinforced ice shield as a protection against impacts with the interstellar medium at the ship's cruising speed of up to 20% c.
