Early Interstellar Colonies
Nova Terra
The first interstellar colony of humankind was Nova Terra, the second planet of Tau Ceti, 11 light years from Sol.

Launched in 2356 c.e. (387 A.T.) (After Tranquillity) the mission to Tau Ceti arrived in 488 A.T. and began the terraformation of this Eogaian planet. During this process the colonists received messages from Earth concerning the Nanoswarms; then they heard no more. Until the First Federation of Hu and AI made contact four hundred years later they thought they were alone. The Novans became a major player in the First Federation, particularly the interstellar entertainment and newsgathering corporation Novamedia. Today Nova is a both vibrant and ancient world, a member of the Non Coersive Zone, and the capital of a densely populated solar system with a rich asteroid belt.

Penglai
The second successful colony mission, to Sigma Draconis 1, established a world mainly populated by former Genetekker and Chinese nationals.

This Eogaian world has like Nova, been terraformed to full Eugaian status
Penglai became the centre of a minor stellar empire, and a powerful affiliated member of the First Federation. When the Federation dissolved, most of the Penglai empire worlds joined the NoCoZo, but Penglai itself became a member of the aesthetic and contemplative Sophic League.
